A row of late C19th communal mews for horse carriages. The completely intact building has been transformed into hip and stylish accommodation for today’s intrepid traveller in search of the unique.
MUNTRI GROVE
A row of 10 mid C19th modest early shop houses in a secret hideaway right off Muntri Street. This is now adapted into contemporary boutique hotel with clean lines and modern elements.
JPM
An eclectic mix of Anglo-Indian-Muslim tropical bangalo in what was the India-Muslim millionaires street. The design is a take on Mughal style with a clever mix of textiles, ceramic tiles, window grills to evoke the period.
WHO ARE WE?
George Town Heritage & Hotels (GTHH) is now a portal for Chris Ong’s portfolio of hotels to better serve guests with seamless bookings, reservations, and inquiries for each individual hotel. In the near future, GTHH will also serve as an information hub for Penang’s cultural events. Our mission is to build a hospitality company which would make each guest feel welcome and at ease whilst promoting the heritage and culture of Penang.
